Calves Augmentation

The operation aims to give volume and beautiful shape to the calves in cases where this part of the legs is not well formed or has any defects. With the help of special implants a beautiful and natural contour of the lower legs is given. The operation is suitable for both women and men. The technique to be used will be explained . The size of the implants will be determined . The patient will be informed about the recovery period and about the possible risks and complications related to the upcoming procedure. The patient  will  also receive instructions on what to do before the operation and what tests you will need. 

The procedure is performed under general anaesthesia. Duration: 1 – 1 1/2hours. It starts by making a small incision about 4 cm long in the fold behind the knee. A pocket is formed under the fascia of the muscle where the implant is placed. There is no danger of affecting large blood vessels and nerves. There are two muscles that shape the calves, but usually one implant is enough to achieve the desired result. In rare cases, when both muscles are not sufficiently developed, it is necessary to place two implants – one above each muscle. At the end of the operation, the incisions are sutured and a surgical bandage is placed on them. In some cases, drainages are also installed. 

The final result is visible immediately after the operation. The procedure is extremely effective and gives an aesthetic shape to the calves. It is recommended that the patient take one week to rest and recover before returning to work. Exercise can be done at least a month and a half after the operation.
